The raw material is the wool of a specific breed of sheep, known for its small size and great strength. Making these rugs requires exceptional craftsmanship, passed down from generation to generation, as well as a large dose of patience. It takes 1 to 4 months – depending on the size of the rug – to make each of these unique pieces. To care for a Berber rug, it is advisable to dust the rug regularly and carefully. Preferably choose a vacuum cleaner with a soft nozzle. In case of stains, quickly dab with absorbent paper, possibly using baking soda, before finishing the treatment with a vacuum cleaner.
