Do not pull the excess thread, but cut it with scissors. If there are stains, act immediately. Reduce the stain with absorbent paper and then use a sponge or clean cloth, slightly dampened with water and a little neutral PH soap. You can also sprinkle a little Sommières earth, which has good stain removing properties, on top and let it work before vacuuming. Mat is not machine washable.
